We help people discover crime free lifestyles.
As a Probation Officer working in one of our CRCs, you’ll be the difference our service users are looking for as you work closely with them to help them lead a crime free lifestyle.
It’s about building positive relationships with service users with the aim of producing a Sentence Plan that manages and reduces the risk of reoffending, ensures their needs are met, and protects the public.
Day to day, you’ll assess public risk and work with Senior Probation Officers to address concerns. You’ll keep records up to date, and you’ll arrange interviews, home visits and interventions with service users to encourage and help them to make positive changes in their lives. And you’ll do it all in line with a focus on delivering a quality service.
You’ll need relevant skills and experience gained from a similar role. But what’s important is that you already have a Probation Vocational Qualification (Level 5), or Professional Qualification in Probation (PQiP) together with an honours degree in a relevant subject.
